Chemnitz Wine Festival 2025: Summer becomes a feast for all the senses

When summer fills the city, wine aromas fill the air and music sets the pulse of the city center - then it's time again: the Chemnitz Wine Festival will transform the city center into a lively meeting place for connoisseurs, culture lovers and families from 25 July to 17 August 2025.

Between the market, Neumarkt, Jakobikirchplatz and a new festival area on Innere Klosterstraße, lovingly decorated wine stands, atmospheric lounges and international specialties invite you to linger, feast and discover. From sun-drenched vineyards from Lake Garda to the vineyards of the Palatinate - over 60 winegrowers and wine merchants will ensure a pleasurable variety in your glass.

Highlights 2025 - full of joie de vivre and new ideas

The festive kick-off on July 25 at 6 p.m. will be the official opening by the Saxon wine royalty, accompanied by an energetic show by the Clovers Cheerleaders - an atmospheric start to three weeks of wine enjoyment.

New this year: "Art & Corks" - the popular Wine & Paint format now takes place every Wednesday in the wine lounge on Jakobikirchplatz. Get creative in a cozy atmosphere with a glass of wine - the number of participants is limited, so registration is required.

On August 10, the cheerful dance picnic with the Emmerling dance school invites you to marvel and enjoy. In addition, the mascot parade brings fun and color to the festival - a day full of joie de vivre for young and old.

In the wine lounge on Jakobikirchplatz, a different theme will once again provide variety every evening - from French romance and Italian flair to relaxed lounge sounds.

This year, guests can once again look forward to popular highlights: the dance tea on Tuesdays and Thursdays, the colorful children's fair on Sundays and new live music every day guarantee the best entertainment. The offer is complemented by new winegrowers, including some from the popular wine region on Lake Garda.
