Enjoy the taste of the region - from March to November, our winegrowers from the Moselle, Saar and Ruwer will be presenting selected wines at the wine stand on the main market square. Taste the variety that this special wine-growing region has to offer: at least two different wineries from the surrounding municipalities and Trier present themselves each week.
Our wine stand has won an award!
The jury of the 'stadtimpulse' initiative has recognized our wine stand as an outstanding contribution to the revitalization and attractiveness of our towns and communities. As an example of best practice, it should become a model for other towns and municipalities in Germany.
Sustainable enjoyment: We're joining in with King Cork!
To protect the valuable raw material cork, our winegrowers collect the corks from wine and sparkling wine bottles that pop out of the necks at the wine stand in their own bags rather than in the residual waste bin. We then take them to King Kork, the Trier initiative of BÜS-Bürgerservice gGmbH, several times a year. There, the corks are processed into high-quality cork granules, which can be used in a variety of ways as insulation, soundproof packaging material or as infill on artificial turf pitches - perhaps in your region too!
