Since ancient times, the theater chorus has been the symbol of society on stage. But what happens when this choir is no longer united and has lost its unanimity? The stage is pitch-black and the chorus members search for their heroic figure: they stumble, chatter amongst themselves and struggle for recognition, as the chorus was the omniscient and central instrument of earlier theater. The ghosts of the past and the internet capture them, entangling them in a web of knowledge, half-knowledge and lies until they no longer know who can give them enlightenment. The figure of Adam Weishaupt shines through from the past. The Ingolstadt founder of the secret society of the Illuminati. Can he give them the enlightenment and mission they long for? And who is the bird that suddenly haunts the stage? "Pa-Pa-Papageno!"

For his commissioned work, Björn SC Deigner delves with relish into the realm of the Illuminati and the mysterious afterlife that this organization has acquired in our world of the web.

He explores the question of how a movement that in principle sought liberal, open values, with which we still identify today, could become the symbol of a society full of power, influence and secret plans against the good of humanity.
