It comes in with a thunderous bang. The media flood that leaves no one in the dark. But where do we look in particular? Which headline threatens to swallow us up? "Submersible Titan only has oxygen for 42 hours!" The countdown is on and everyone is counting down: 5 passengers, 4,000 meters, 30 live tickers, 2 knocking noises and one question: where can I find out more?

When the submersible "Titan" imploded on its excursion to the Titanic in 2023, claiming the lives of five billionaires, a media storm broke out. Anyone who wanted to took part in the conversation, speculated in the comments and passed their own judgment. While the rescue mission was underway and its outcome still uncertain, users on the 'X' platform (formerly Twitter) were discussing issues of guilt and privilege.

At the heart of the discourse is a central question: what about our social participation when class boundaries divide us?
