39th Aachen World Festival -

Welthaus Aachen (An der Schanz 1, 52064 Aachen)

Under the motto "Flight and International Solidarity - Our Responsibility, Answers and Opportunities", the focus will be on the causes of flight, forms of migration and what we can do in the Global North - discursively, artistically and in solidarity

Highlights on the day of the festival:

• Large information & education market with around 30 groups under the banner of the SDGs

• Clothes swap campaign: sustainable fashion instead of fast fashion

• Open jam session to join in

• Culinary world tour with Iranian specialties (Café Mundo)

• Lecture "War, aggression and genocide" with the Bosnian ambassador, from 3:45 pm

• Colourful stage program: samba rhythms, Indonesian dances, circus acts, Latin American music & live reggae with Proff Kenya

The supporting program in May/June also offers film evenings, readings and fair actions - including the Fair Day on 7 June and a reading with Lutz van Dijk - well worth it!
