Weltspieletag im Museum Ludwig

In the organizer's words:

For World Play Day in the exhibition "Francis Alÿs - Kids Take Over", the Museum Ludwig is cooperating with the Fundus Theater from Hamburg. Fundus Theater is a children's theater for all generations. It has made a name for itself nationally and internationally with innovations in the field of participatory and research-oriented theater and cultural education and is an important venue for independent groups. The Fundus Theater works with international partners such as the Tate Modern.

On this day, a team of 4 artists will come to the Museum Ludwig and offer an open workshop format "Play In" for children and families for a whole day. From 10:00-18:00, the museum space will also be a play space in which art will be addressed in a playful and performative way, but also social discourses such as "gender" or "adultism"/hierarchical structures between adults and children will be opened up.

The theater brings a large stock of established materials, costumes and tools to transform the museum into a performative, participatory and playful space.
