Experience a contemporary dance performance by TachoTinta that transcends boundaries and challenges stereotypes. In this drag show of cultural identities, international artists unite with the audience to celebrate the art of glamorous exaggeration - a strategy that inspires laughter and reflection in equal measure.

We invite you into a fog of cultural uncertainties as we playfully challenge our own preconceptions. With a mixture of humor, provocation and profundity, we delve deep into the core of the complexity of identities and prejudices. "Cultural Drag xxs" promises an evening full of surprises, reflections and positive uncertainties - a must for anyone who wants to broaden their perspective on life in a transcultural world and see life as a show!

TachoTinta

With a pinch of self-irony and curiosity for the raw, TachoTinta creates temporary choreographic universes to become experts in cultural misunderstandings. Together, they approach questions of physicality and storytelling from a transcultural perspective and are inspired by the hurdles along the way. The Cologne-based group, led by Silvia Ehnis Perez Duarte and Mijin Kim, has performed on various stages throughout Germany, including the Ringlokschuppen Ruhr, tanzhaus nrw, E-Werk Freiburg, Schwere Reiter and PATHOS Munich, TanzFaktur and Theaterwerkstatt Pilkentafel, where they are an associated group. This year they performed in the city project SCHWIMMCITY as part of the Impulse Theater Festival in Mülheim an der Ruhr. TachoTinta is currently supported by the RheinEnergie Stiftung Kultur and KunstSalon Stiftung.

The development of "Cultural Drag xxs" was funded by the Ministry of Culture and Science of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia and NRW Landesbüro Freie Darstellende Künste, with the kind support of Quartier am Hafen Köln.

The original version "Cultural Drag" is a co-production of TachoTinta GbR and Ringlokschuppen Ruhr, in flausen+ co-production with E-Werk /Südufer Freiburg and Theaterwerkstatt Pilkentafel, supported by Fonds Darstellende Künste with funds from the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media, the Ministry of Culture and Science of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, the Ministry of General and Vocational Education, Science, Research and Culture of the State of Schleswig-Holstein and the Cultural Office of the City of Flensburg.
