Author Yannic Han Biao Federer and psychologist Felix Meindl in conversation with Jana Forkel

Charlotte and Yannic are expecting a child. Between prenatal screenings, project completions and parental allowance calculators, they prepare for a new life as a family. But then disaster strikes: their son dies. In his bookFür immer seh ich dich wieder, Yannic Han Biao Federer tells a precise and poignant story of the loss of his son, of farewells and care work, of parenthood and love.

The social enterprise GEDENKEN SCHENKEN, founded by Felix and Julia Meindl, supports people in times of grief and promotes a conscious approach to loss. One of the main services offered is grief counseling in card format. The cards help mourners to go through the process in small, understandable steps and to actively shape their grief.

Yannic Han Biao Federer lives and works as a freelance author in Cologne. He writes novels and short stories, essays and reviews for Deutschlandfunk, WDR and SWR, among others. He is a member of PEN Berlin and the Young College of the North Rhine-Westphalian Academy of Sciences, Humanities and the Arts.

Felix Meindl is a psychologist and expert in innovation and design from Munich. His mission is to research modern ways of dealing with grief and translate them into easily applicable recommendations for action.

Jana Forkel has been a reporter on the children's program "Neuneinhalb" since 2017 and has also been a presenter on "Der Sendung mit der Maus" since 2018. In 2018, she was awarded the Prix Jeunesse for her program "Weltreise Deutschland".
