with Matthias Quabbe and Daniel Rademacher
The "werkstatt dramaturgie.tanz" is a workspace moderated by Daniel Rademacher and Matthias Quabbe. The two dramaturges invite participants to exchange ideas about individual dramaturgical practice in contemporary dance and to further develop their own approaches.
Artistic approaches to dramaturgy will be examined in various formats. The focus will be on discussing case studies and situations from the participants' own artistic work. Together with the participants, Matthias Quabbe and Daniel Rademacher will open up a space for reflection in order to share specific questions and requirements for dramaturgy. On the one hand, the aim is to describe areas of work, tasks and responsibilities as well as the specific challenges of dramaturgical work. On the other hand, there will be a concrete exchange about individual practice, special working approaches, ideas, insights, tips and tricks.
After live editions in Munich and Cologne, werkstatt dramaturgie.tanz #3.5 took place online during the Tanzbiennale 2025. The fourth edition will now take place on site in Heidelberg and is aimed at dramaturgs, artists and production participants who take on an independent dramaturgical position in projects - from production dramaturgy to Outside Eye.
The workshop will be held in German. The number of participants is limited.
