WG Bigband & friends

In the organizer's words:

This year the WG-Bigband Wild Groove, the Vorbigband Little Wild Groove, the WG Rockband and some solo artists will perform again in the Theaterstübchen!!! Under the motto: Zehn - Das zehnte Popkonzert / Bigbandkonzert am Wilhemsgymnasium und eben im Theaterstübchen!!! After the very successful concert in 2024, the young musicians are back at it again and present their new program:
A foray through the last 10 years of pop and rock music at the WG.
Under the professional guidance of various Kassel music professionals, who once again acted as coaches this year (including Katja Friedenberg (vocals) and Michael Linke (rhythm section), numerous pieces from different genres were rehearsed or warmed up. Tonight, the WG big band will be performing hits such as Feeling good, We are family, I want you back and classics such as Sweet home Chicago, Oh When the saints and Can`t buy me love. The instrumentalists are supported by the brilliant voices of Aglea Tayedifar, Paula Fink, Rijänna Kleußer and Hanna Pauli.
The opening big band Little Wild Groove kicks things off with the smash hit "Call me maybe" and gets the room rocking with the old rock classic "Born to be wild" and the legendary "Birdland"!
Grouped around the big bands are various other ensembles that have been formed at the WG in recent years: in addition to some top-class solo artists, the WG Rockband, which was founded four years ago under the direction of Kassel jazz musician Michael Linke, will be playing the hit "Zehn" (Farin Urlaub) and the Kiss smash "I was made for lovin`you" - party atmosphere guaranteed - cordial invitation!!!
