Von der Macht eines widerständigen Gefühls takes over the moderation of a new series of talks in the 2024/2025 season and invites guests from the fields of music, philosophy, journalism and political activism under the title What a Feeling. Because: We need to talk! With a view to productions in our repertoire, she discusses the social and individual spectrum of our feelings in a critical and humorous way.

Şeyda Kurt in conversation with Eva von Redecker

In the fourth edition of What a feeling , Şeyda Kurt reflects on no less a feeling than Weltschmerz. A feeling that could not be more all-encompassing. And who else would be more appropriate to discuss this with than philosopher and author Eva von Redecker. Her latest book, Bleibefreiheit (S.Fischer 2023), takes on the concept of freedom in the face of the ecological crisis and suggests that it should be understood more temporally than spatially in future. She writes for Die ZEIT, The Guardian and Philosophie Magazin and moderates the discussion series Maschinenraum der Zukunft at the Deutsches Schauspielhaus Hamburg.
