While musician Loraine James' work under her own name is often characterized by IDM influences and vocal-driven collaborations, her alias Whatever The Weather offers a more impressionistic, introspective perspective. On Whatever The Weather II , a rich soundscape unfolds, ranging from hypnotic ambient music to rhythmic elements and collages of diary-like recordings // Electro-acoustic composer, sound artist and researcher Elif Gülin Soğuksu explores the human voice as a source of mind-generated sounds. Her works combine algorithmic approaches, voice-controlled electronics, digital processing and spatial sound.
