The wooden barrel can shape a whisky in a special way and give it an extraordinary style. In this international blind tasting with sommelier Michael Kietzmann, we take a close look at the choice of barrel: Different base products meet different woods and maturation periods. Classic brands with unusual compositions meet surprising underdogs. There are also small pairings such as nuts, fruit and chocolate. And after six flights, we create a final drink from the last whisky so that the evening can end in a relaxed and particularly enjoyable way.

The evening begins with a champagne reception and our delicious wine bites - delicacies from Wiesbaden's weekly market! Afterwards, Michael Kietzmann will take you on a journey into the world of whisky.
