Have you always wanted to taste a wide variety of whisky, whiskeys, bourbons, etc. with like-minded people to your heart's content? Would you like to get to know the diversity of the most exciting spirit in the world?
Then this tasting is the right place for you!
At this event, whiskies will be tasted under the motto "Open Bottles". Whiskies will be tasted from a number of different open bottles (approx. 30-50), so there is sure to be something for everyone. The difference to conventional tastings is that we will not all have the same whisky in our glass, but that does not mean that there is little to learn on this evening. We will enter into a dialog and I will weave exciting topics into the evening between the tasting rounds. From beginners to experts, there is a suitable malt for everyone!
The tasting is aimed at interested beginners as well as advanced tasters and experts who want to learn (even) more about this exciting spirit. Immerse yourself in the world of whisky and get to know the whole range of whisk(e)y flavors and let's take a look into the world of whiskies together.
Food pairing at its best will take place at the "Bümmersteder Krug" in Oldenburg.
Procedure of the tasting:
Presentation of the Open Bottle Range and the distilleries. You will receive great insights and exciting information. Afterwards, the corresponding whisky will be tasted. In between, you will learn about "whisky", how it is made and where it comes from. I will explain the different terms such as "single malt, bourbon, blended etc." You will learn how whisky is tasted ("nosing") in a practical way. This tasting consists of a total of six top-class whiskies (selection from the Open Bottle Range) in a stylish nosing glass with at least 2cl each. The whole thing is rounded off with a delicious buffet. Let us surprise you! The two worlds come together in Oldenburg, on the grounds of the Bümmersteder Krug.
