THE WHO are punk, rock opera and rock 'n roll. Pete Townshend wrote anthems like My Generation, Pinball Wizzard, Won't get fooled again and made the band one of the best live acts in rock. Townshend influenced generations of musicians and performed his rock opera Tommy at the MET in New York, among other venues. The fascinating balancing act between art temple and Woodstock made THE WHO one of the most inspiring bands of the 60s and 70s.
Mr. Townshend celebrates his 80th birthday on 19 May 2025. Congratulations! Who am I - Who are you? Harry Stingl (guitar, vocals), Lars Rühl (guitar, vocals) plus their acoustic accomplices Jürgen & Riehl will take you on a fascinating journey with acoustic versions of Pete Townshend's songs, his companions and stories from two musical lives.
