In the organizer's words:

The WIA 2025 Festival is committed to strengthening diversity in building culture, promoting the discourse on women* in architecture and urban planning and supporting the exchange of institutions and initiatives. It takes place nationwide from June 19-29 and we as Architects for Future are also making our contribution with the exhibition including the vernissage in Berlin.

In the exhibition "Die Bauwende ist weiblich*", the development of activism by women* is shown with a special focus on architecture/the building revolution.

Architects for Future is fighting for a more sustainable construction industry to make our built future better and more liveable.

With the exhibition at Architektur Galerie Berlin, we want to highlight our work and that of other activist groups, most of which are led by FLINTA people, and create visibility for female activism.

As a prelude to the exhibition "Die Bauwende ist weiblich*" by Architects4Future in the Architektur Galerie Berlin, a dialog will take place as a vernissage, one day before the official start of the WIA Festival, on Wednesday evening, June 18, 2025.

The dialog will address the topic of female* activism with a special focus on women* who are involved in the climate movement and building transition.

Activists* from various sectors will provide a basis for a joint discussion in short textual inputs. The aim is to deliberately exchange different perspectives on this topic. The event invites open discourse.

Together we want to focus on and discuss the topic of female* activism!

We are working on everything on a voluntary basis and the exhibition will also be accessible free of charge.
