Widerstand zwecklos

Widerstand zwecklos is a dystopian play about the loss of values, lack of freedom, dictatorship, coercive control, manipulation, threats and violence. A distorted look into the mirror of the future of our time.

The twelve-member ensemble Theater Linsensuppe formed in September 2024 for the theater project Freiheit (Freedom) of the Protestant Youth Hanover and developed, produced and staged the play Widerstand zwecklos (Futile Resistance) in a collective process.

The premiere will take place on Friday, March 28, 2025 at 20:00 in the Jugendkirche Hannover. Further performances will follow on Saturday, March 29, Monday, March 31 and Tuesday, April 1, 2025 at 20:00 .

Trigger warning

This play contains content that may be distressing for some viewers. It deals with topics such as oppression, violence, loss, suicide attempts, torture, murder and existential fears. There are depictions of psychological and physical violence as well as dystopian scenarios that can provoke intense emotional reactions.
