How did children from Düsseldorf experience the end of the war in 1945? What emotions and events were imprinted on their memories? The reading will feature memories of Düsseldorf children who grew up and socialized under National Socialism and experienced the end of the Second World War in Düsseldorf or elsewhere.

The following people will be reading on this evening: Volker Neupert (Respekt und Mut), Dr. Benedikt Mauer (Stadtarchiv), Klaus Peter Hommes (Stadtbüchereien) Dr. Regina Plaßwilm (ASG-Bildungsforum), as well as Ricarda Hinz and Katrin Wiesemann (Düsseldorfer Aufklärungsdienst).
