Rap-Workshop mit Maeckes

In the organizer's words:

What can I do if something doesn't suit me? How can I name the injustices that I experience? How can I formulate my resistance - in a playful, artistic and perhaps even danceable way? How can I find a message? How do I create poetic images? How do I combine words with music?

The Kornwestheimberlin rapper and music producer Maeckes invites you to a lyrics workshop at JOiN. In a group with a maximum of 12 participants, the aim is to improve or find your own lyric writing skills. If you are between 15 and 20 years old, you can apply. Send us a short text (max. 400 words in German or English) to dramaturgie.oper@staatstheater-stuttgart.de by July 3, 2025 that deals with injustice or in which you describe what you are fighting for. And if you would like to experience Maeckes with your own text on the opera stage, you can go to the performance of Der rote Wal for €10 on July 20.
