»WIE GEHT ES DIR?« - Zeichner*innen gegen Antisemitismus, Hass und Rassismus

In the organizer's words:

We make pictures. We draw what we perceive, what we see and hear, but also what remains hidden. We talk to people around us.

We are stunned by the Hamas attack on Israel on October 7, 2023 and the suffering caused by the ongoing attacks by the Israeli military on the Gaza Strip. We are deeply shocked to learn that Jewish people in Germany feel isolated and threatened, that they once again have to be increasingly afraid because they are Jewish. At the same time, we are shocked to see that hostility towards Muslims and racist discrimination are also on the rise. Right-wing extremism, hatred and hate speech are becoming more and more visible and tangible, yet there is often a lack of speech.

With the campaign "How are you? Cartoonists against anti-Semitism, hatred and racism" campaign, we want to express our sympathy and contribute to dialog. Drawings and comics can tell individual stories, educate and create closeness without exposing people and their personal fates.

An initiative of the artists Hannah Brinkmann, Nathalie Frank, Michael Jordan, Julia Kleinbeck, Moritz Stetter, Birgit Weyhe & Barbara Yelin // accompanied by Véronique Sina (Goethe University Frankfurt) & the Kulturamt Erlangen.

All comics will be exhibited at the Literaturhaus, and selected prints will also be available for sale.
