"Wie geht es dir?" is a collaborative comic project that has been running since January 2024. The initiators and curators are Barbara Yelin, Hannah Brinkmann, Nathalie Frank, Michael Jordan, Julia Kleinbeck, Moritz Stetter and Birgit Weyhe. They are advised and supported by Véronique Sina (Goethe University Frankfurt), Annika Gloystein and Bodo Birk (International Comic Salon Erlangen). The suffering caused by the Hamas attack on Israel on October 7, 2023 and the ongoing attacks by the Israeli military leave people stunned. Right-wing extremism, hatred and hate speech are becoming more and more visible and tangible, yet there is often a lack of speech.the "How are you?" project aims to create visibility for the people who are affected. With the campaign "How are you? Drawers against anti-Semitism, hatred and racism" aims to express compassion and open up a dialog. Drawings and comics in particular can tell individual stories, educate people and create closeness, without putting people and their personal fates on display. The "How are you?" project was therefore launched on January 2, 2024. In dialog with people affected by anti-Semitism, hostility towards Muslims and other forms of discrimination, or people who deal with misanthropic ideologies, comic artists tell short stories that will be published weekly on Instagram, presented in changing exhibitions and published as a book by Avant Verlag 2025 in 2025.
