Luisa Neubauer is one of the best-known faces of the climate movement, which has been fighting for the future habitability of our planet for years. In her book What if we were brave?, she analyzes the power struggles behind the climate crisis and calls for a change of perspective: when facts no longer reach people, positive stories should show how climate protection can lead to a better life. Her book is a call for social intervention. For criminal law professor Frauke Rostalski, however, the responsibility for more climate protection does not lie with activists and civil society, but elsewhere: In her book Who should do what? (to be published in September 2025), she calls for global solutions to a global problem. Both talk about the right way to tackle the human challenge. Moderator: Catherine Newmark
