Together at the Burgtheater in Vienna, Moritz Carl Winklmayr and Frederik Rauscher got to know not only the high and low culture of the Beisl, coffeehouses and sausage stands, but also each other - and they would have liked to stay forever. But the water flows very slowly down the Danube, and so the two of them first found themselves far away from Käsekrainer, Einspänner and apricot schnapps. There remained only a longing for the great old imperial city...

On this evening full of relish, the Vienna that this longing indulges in comes to life. With songs from Kreisler to Wanda, between high poetry and everyday insults, everything that makes Vienna so unique gets a stage: the noble and the rancid, the morbid and the vinous, the charm and what actually lies beneath.
