The string quintet of the Da Capo Chamber Philharmonic Orchestra plays a lively start to the year. The festive and cheerful program features waltzes, polkas and everlasting operetta melodies that never fail to delight the heart and soul. The masterful compositions of the Viennese Strauss dynasty - from the Emperor Waltz to the Fledermaus Overture and the Radetzky March - take center stage. Enchanting melodies such as Kreisler's Schön Rosmarin, Liebesleid und Liebesfreud and the always beguiling Lippen schweigen by Franz Lehár as well as a few selected musical surprises round off this Viennese New Year's concert perfectly. Look forward to an atmospheric start to the year that will resonate for a long time to come!

In over two decades, the Munich Chamber Philharmonic Orchestra dacapo has secured itself a permanent place in Munich's concert life, performing in renowned halls such as the Gasteig and the Herkulessaal. Under the direction of Franz Schottky, a student of Sergiu Celibidache, the orchestra cultivates a full, transparent sound and a broad repertoire ranging from baroque to modern. Special emphasis is placed on the rediscovery of late romantic works and the promotion of young soloists. Guest appearances at home and abroad, including at the Musikverein Vienna, testify to its high esteem. In 2024, a Haydn recording was nominated for the German Record Critics' Award.
