For ten days every August, Wiesbaden is the capital of wine: the Rheingau Wine Week offers fine wines and sparkling wines as well as culinary delights at around 120 stands every day from Friday to a week later on Sundays around the historic town hall.

For four decades, the wine week has invited visitors to celebrate, taste and enjoy as part of a varied program. Visitors from all over the world, as well as many old acquaintances from all over the world, flock to the Hessian capital for a cheerful reunion at the wine stands. The Wine Week is traditionally opened early on Friday evening by the Rheingau Wine Queen and the Lord Mayor of Wiesbaden together with numerous guests of honor. After this official starting signal, visitors can expect conviviality and good entertainment at its best in the picturesque setting between the state parliament, town hall and market church and the Dern'schen grounds. Almost 50 music groups and bands will be performing on the stages in front of the town hall and the Marktkirche. Rockland Radio will also be presenting a varied music program on the stage on the Dern'schen grounds.

The focus is on the delicious juice of the vine: the wine week has more than 1,000 different wines and sparkling wines to offer at the more than 100 wine stands of the Rheingau winegrowers. Every year, visitors can purchase a special Rheingau Wine Week wine glass for two euros as a souvenir. It always features a special motif relating to the beauty of the state capital.

Under the motto "Discover, taste and enjoy the familiar and the new", there is of course a wide range of culinary delights to suit every taste in addition to wine. With attractive offers, restaurateurs at a further 16 stands will cater for the physical well-being of guests. The Rheingau Wine Week in Wiesbaden is the epitome of hospitality, conviviality and cheerfulness. This even applies to the little ones, for whom a small extra program with childcare is always offered.
