We meet once a month to maintain Wikipedia and make valuable knowledge accessible to everyone. In our writing workshop, we learn how to write, expand and edit Wikipedia articles. The library supports us with comprehensive research options and specialist knowledge.
Whether you're new or experienced, we look forward to enriching Wikipedia together with you!
This time
After successfully writing and publishing an article last time, we want to provide material about an artist again this time and work together on a new article. Anyone who wants to can work with us on this article or write articles on their own initiative. There is room for questions and help.
How you can participate:
- On our Wikipedia project page you can find all the details about past and upcoming writing workshops, articles that have already been written and what we still want to work on.
- All you need to take part is a laptop.
- Register on the project page for the next dates - or just drop by spontaneously.
Background
Wikipedia is one of the most important sources of information on the Internet. Our aim is to make media artists and their works more visible in the online encyclopaedia. As part of the "Media Art on Wikipedia" project, our first edit-a-thon took place at the ZKM on February 24, 2024. Since then, we have been meeting regularly in the Wikipedia writing workshop to work together on biographical articles about artists and media art works.
