Podcast and documentary makers Kaddi Kestler, Toni Schlosser and Lisa Bartelmus, better known as "Bergfreundinnen", show us the wild mountains of the Balkans on the "High Scardus Trail" through Kosovo, North Macedonia and Albania. Are the Balkans a rising star mountain destination for long-distance hikes and self-catering trips? What do you need to consider when planning and carrying out a multi-day hike in the Balkans? Can a cross-border long-distance hiking trail help to overcome borders between once hostile people and nationalities?
