Wir werden nie wieder Opfer sein!

In the organizer's words:

People with disabilities and/or mental illness against the extreme right!
The misanthropic ideology of right-wing extremist forces has not only been frightening people with disabilities and/or mental illness for some time. We have asked ourselves how people with disabilities and/or mental illnesses are experiencing the rise of the "AfD - Alternative for Germany" party and what they are doing about it.
We explore these questions in four chapters. First, we look at ideas about a society in which we want to live; based on this, our interviewees report on current developments in the context of historical contexts. It becomes clear that our protagonists would trust the AfD and other right-wing extremists with anything.

The far-right politician Bernd Höcke and co. are currently "only" talking about abolishing inclusion. However, behind this lies their desire to exclude people with disabilities and/or mental illnesses from social life by once again segregating them in special schools, for example. The result of this alienation is that they are no longer perceived as people, but as beings that the "German people" have to pay dearly for.
Since, as we all know, hope dies last, we describe forms of resistance against these right-wing extremists in the final chapter.

In order to achieve a cinematically appropriate portrayal, we have staged scenes with actors from the "compagnons cooperative inklusiver film" and incorporated material from interviewees with disabilities and/or mental illness. In the end, the film can encourage viewers to stand up for the creation of a solidary and democratic society and for the fight against the right.
