Scientists want to understand the world better. But who succeeds in making their own research accessible to the general public and communicating scientific findings in a clear and understandable way?

This year, the Werner and Inge Grüter Prize, endowed with €15,000, goes to a research group that brings the hidden world of soil to light and also inspires children and young people about the diverse life in it.
