Wolfram Koch liest Daniil Charms

"I'm only interested in nonsense, only in things that have no practical meaning. I am only interested in life in its nonsensical appearance," said Daniil Kharms. Daniil Kharms, actually Ivanovich Yuvachev, born on December 30, 1905, was a Russian writer and poet. Throughout his life, he was afraid of being picked up by Stalin's secret police. He was imprisoned several times and finally starved to death in a prison psychiatric ward during the Leningrad blockade.

On this evening at the ROMANFABRIK, actor Wolfram Koch will devote himself to the extraordinary Daniil Charms and will read mainly from his collection of texts Zwischenfälle (Volk und Welt) as well as poems, stories, very short stories, anecdotes and drama pieces by him.
