Women in Architecture: WIA-Auftakt West

The "Women in Architecture" (WIA) festival is taking place nationwide for the first time this year. Numerous events will highlight the achievements of female planners and the topic of diversity in building culture.

Institutions, associations and other stakeholders will be holding events, exhibitions and other projects as part of the WIA festival.

As part of WIA25, the Chamber of Architects of North Rhine-Westphalia (AKNW) would like to promote the discourse on women in architecture, urban and open space planning and architecture and network all those interested in a change in planning culture.

The AKNW will hold the central kick-off event for North Rhine-Westphalia on June 17, 2025 at the Baukunstarchiv NRW in Dortmund.

Various perspectives from representatives from politics, architecture firms, universities and young planners will be presented at the kick-off event in order to discuss and ultimately strengthen the equality of female planners and diversity in building culture.
