Workshop: Acid - The Last Word

Contemporary dance workshop with Charles A. Washington as part of the 13th Leipzig Dance Theater Weeks

During the workshop, participants will explore various choreographic elements from the development process of Acid - The Last Word. We will begin with a somatic warm-up to promote a deeper awareness of the body and its quality of movement.

Following the warm-up, the focus shifts to exploring the origin of information - how it arises, how it transforms into knowledge and how it can be used as a means of communication. Participants will explore the fluid transition between gestures and abstract movement.

The workshop aims to develop a keen sense of subtle shifts in movement, tension and dynamics, ultimately leading participants to a playful, expressive dance practice that is alert, responsive and creative.
