Workshop // Atayal-Tanz, Alphabete und Lieder

In the organizer's words:

In this workshop, we invite you to get to know the diverse song and dance culture of Taiwan's Austronesian population groups. We will learn how children in Taiwan express their cultural identity as members of an indigenous community through song and dance - often starting at school. Together we discover the alphabets of an Austronesian language: Do they look like the German alphabet? How do you pronounce them? We spell words, sing matching songs and immerse ourselves in another world through movement and rhythm. At the end we all dance together!
The aim of the workshop is to experience and embody a foreign culture with all the senses through active participation - listening, seeing, speaking, singing and dancing.
