Workshop: Klassismus erkennen und begegnen

In the organizer's words:

Classism refers to discrimination based on social origin or social status. Like sexism or racism, classism is a form of social oppression and is directed against people from the working or poor classes, in particular against unemployed, poverty-stricken and homeless people. The workshop will introduce this often forgotten form of discrimination.

We will clarify the basics of classism and answer questions such as "What is classism? In what forms does it occur? How can I recognize it?". We will also look at the links between classism and other forms of discrimination and finally develop practical, anti-classist approaches.

A cooperation between the STZ Ricklingen, the Verein Niedersächsischer Bildungsinitiativen e.V. (VNB) and the Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung Niedersachsen as part of Green Campus.
