SomoS Arts and the curator dani neira invite you to the finissage of "worm hole in star", a group exhibition with videos, installations and performances by the artists jiawen uffline, Lena Becerra, Lucila Sancineti and Maria Kobylenko.
To close the exhibition, Maria Kobylenko will present her audiovisual performance "meso territories" at 8pm, bringing the exhibition's speculative and multisensory journey to an immersive close.
About the performance:
"The audiovisual performance "meso territories" is an exploration of the hidden ecologies in the soil, the extractive forces of rare earth mining and the blurring boundaries between organic and industrial life. Through real-time microscopy of soils from Berlin and the surrounding (giga) factories, overlaid with soundscapes from soil recordings, the work reveals an invisible world of mesofauna and mineral entanglements. It tells a story of decomposition and progress, where the microcosmic meets the planetary and where technology and earth merge. As rare earth elements hum through circuits and soil creatures weave silent webs, the A/V performance invites the audience into a space of ambiguity - where the living, the extracted and the not-yet-created are in flux."
