Which format brings together humorous short stories, lyrical ballads, personal poetry and witty dialect texts in different languages?
The answer: the poetry slam - from now on at the Schwanen under the label "Wortgewand(t)", hosted by Jonas Pan.
The poetry slam is an open, democratic competition between poets, because anyone can take part.
You too can be on stage with your texts!
You can either register at poetryslam@kulturhaus-schwanen.de or simply put your name in the open pot at the entrance and you will be spontaneously drawn on stage!
The same applies to all artists:
Every text is self-written. The time limit is max. 6 minutes. Only text and performance are allowed - no costumes or aids.
Under these conditions, poets compete against each other to win the favor of the audience, which decides by applause who will advance to the next round and be allowed to put on the Waiblingen robe at the end of the evening.
But "the points are not the point; the point is poetry." (Allen Wolf) or loosely translated:
"The point is the poetry - not the scoring."
Price information:
From September 1, 2024, there will be a new price concept at the Kulturhaus Schwanen. You decide for yourself whether you have a small, normal or generous wallet. This means that proof of reduced-price tickets is no longer required. Background: We want to offer all people, no matter how thin or thick their wallet is, low-threshold access to our events and build your solidarity in the community. In this way we help each other - simply - low-threshold and without much fuss.
