Feminist animal poems, short prose and true crime - with Ella Carina Werner and Jens Eisel, music: Daniel Green

Feminist issues are important and serious, but they can also be very funny! In Ella Carina Werner's first and unique volume of poetry, the animal poem is snatched from the "male gaze" once and for all and a female perspective is established in comic German poetry. The Hamburg author writes poetry about rigid beauty norms, various forms of care work, mansplaining and the gender pay gap. In his semi-documentary novel "Cooper", Jens Eisel tells of the courage of despair and the harshness of life. It is about a Vietnam veteran who dares to do anything to give his life a new direction and about an airplane crew who do everything they can to ensure a peaceful end. Songwriter Daniel Green will provide a musical accompaniment to the reading and sing about letting go, freedom and longing.

The readings will take place at 7 pm at the bandstand. In case of bad weather, we will move to the teahouse in the Große Wallanlagen and start at 8 pm. More at https://plantenunblomen.hamburg.de/
