Across the Elbe and beyond-ofrivers, people and animals

It is a border crosser, a lifeline, sometimes a storm surge. You can drift in it or swim against the current. See places with different eyes. Recover treasures. - The Elbe is a 1000-kilometer-long, never-ending home. It is the river of freedom. The new program by the two actors and musicians Stephan Möller-Titel and Jochen Klüßendorf is once again linked to the water. Their unmistakable humorous blend of texts by great writers and their own songs touches the heart and mind. On board for this "literary river cruise" are works by LENZ, HESSE, LIEPMAN, STANIŠI, SCHERER, KUNERT, KUNZE, FRISCH and BORN, among others. We are also delighted to have the contemporary writer Christoph Treskow from Dessau on board. He will be presenting his own verses and stories from his latest publication "Flüsse sind wir" (anderort-Verlag) to round off the musical reading. On a river, you are inevitably on the move: The current drives you on and on, just like the current of memory. And as you drift past places, people, animals and stories, you take individual images and impressions with you, while others "fall by the wayside". Before you can even take a closer look, you've moved on - the next place is already waiting to be discovered. We travel from the Elbe across the seas to the Ganges, and of course it's all about the big themes again: Freedom, longing, escape, Herkuna, East and West, war and peace, Ankuna and farewell. We want to overcome borders and build bridges, and maybe it's also a bit about enlightenment. There is always something to experience - join us! We look forward to welcoming you on board.
