Wortwirbel 🌀 Outdoor Lesebühne im Stadtpark

In the organizer's words:

The sun is shining and the park smells of flowers - what could be nicer than texts about blowflies, heartache and stinky wellies? 🌞

Make yourself comfortable in the meadow (preferably on the picnic blanket you brought along!) and listen to a wild rotation of young writers, accompanied by the chirping of birds and the tinkling of bottle caps. They will take it in turns to tell you a few short stories about anything normal, abnormal or paranormal! Meanwhile, the reading café in the city park offers you everything you need to moisten your throat, brighten your mood and cool your liver.
☝ And all this with a timing that still leaves you room for other weekend activities afterwards (first "culture", then partying?)!

Pictures, videos, impressions: Word vortex on Instagram

➡️ Read it: Laura-Lynn Meyer, Marvmallow, Monika Mertens and SebastianSchuster🗣️✨

YOUR TO-DOs:

  1. Reserve free tickets
  2. Pack friends & preferably a picnic blanket
  3. Be in a good mood ✨

ADMISSION IS FREE.
The speakers would of course be very happy if you would like to support them after the show with a voluntary donation of e.g. 5-10€.
Make your reservation here on Eventbrite! This costs nothing, but gives us a certain amount of planning security and if we have to cancel the event due to bad weather, you will be informed automatically ☝️

By the way: This is not a poetry slam. The readers have twice as much time and are not awarded points. But it's also not an author reading where you get to read from a 1000-page novel for hours on end. Instead , you get to hear somewhat longer texts from poetry slammers (10 minutes instead of 5), which would otherwise have to sadly languish in a notebook, and also hear exclusive content from aspiring authors who test their short stories in front of an audience before they perhaps find their way into a book.

As the event takes place outdoors, we unfortunately have to cancel the event in case of bad weather! Anyone who has reserved a free ticket will be notified automatically in this unfortunate event!

Also: The stories deal with partly funny, but also partly very serious topics. This has always been unproblematic so far, but we therefore do not recommend the event for children.

Where can you find the reading café?
Between Stadtparksee and the Stadtpark Open Air area,
The best way to get there is via S Alte Wöhr or with a little more walking via U3 Saarlandstraße!
