WuW

Inspired by classical music, free jazz and drone, the two classically trained brothers Benjamin and Guillaume Colin have been creating experimental post-doom epics in the style of Year of No Light, Dirge and Omega Massif since 2016. "WuW is the sound the wind makes when it blows on a hot night," the band explains. "It's a soft rush that grabs you by the guts, a breeze that rushes through the mountains and the oceans." Their latest, third album "L'Orchaostre" is a hymn to a restless journey, a five-piece doom symphony that creates a shroud of oppressive atmospheres with just a pinch of light.

"WuW is the sound wind makes when it blows on a hot night," explains the band, "It's a low-end murmur that grabs you by the guts, a blast of air rushing through the mountains and the oceans." Their upcoming third album L'Orchaostre is an anthem to a restless journey, a fve-part doom symphony that creates a shroud of oppressive atmospheres with only a pinch of light.

Monosphere shook up the German prog and post-metal scene with their DIY debut The Puppeteer and played themselves hot at numerous concerts - with support slots for the likes of Napalm Death, The Ocean and Rolo Tomassi. In 2023, the band takes their sound to a new level: technical progressive metal meets atmospheric post-metal, spiced up with jazz, neoclassical piano, oppressive sound design and influences from black metal, mathcore and deathcore. A Monosphere concert is an intense experience that oscillates between harmonious beauty and dark, dissonant soundscapes. A unique soundtrack that breaks boundaries and casts a spell - raw, emotional and captivating.

To live out their fascination for dark, raw metal, the (ex-) members of the Darmstadt formations Elephant Messiah, Precipitation and Bushfire founded their new band "SATAO" in 2022. The heavieness of stoner doom forms the foundation of the new sound, while a cold black metal atmosphere dominates the nuances of the songs. Due to the different influences, the four write energetic and dynamic compositions, which take their time in the right places, only to merge into pushing heaviness in the next moment. In March 2024, the band went to the Lofthaus studio in Darmstadt to record their debut album "Devourer Of Man", which was released on October 24, 2024.
