We cordially invite you to a special musical experience at Theaterhaus Schille: Yana Couto and Johannes Wasikowski, two up-and-coming artists from the neoclassical music scene, will take you on an intimate, meditative journey.

Their music combines deep calm and delicate melancholy, always accompanied by a spark of hope, creating a space in which your thoughts come to rest and everyday life fades into the background for a moment.

About the artists

The Polish composer and pianist Yana Couto enchants with her music, which wanders between neoclassical, ambient and film music. Her touching compositions, reminiscent of artists such as Yann Tiersen or Ludovico Einaudi, have reached over 20 million Spotify streams worldwide.

In 2023, she wowed audiences at the Next Music Showcase in Poznan and the Piano Lab Festival in Italy. She also accompanied Joep Beving on his concert tour through Poland.

Yana Couto is currently working on theater music, a soundtrack for a Danish film and her third album. With her concerts, she gives her audience moments of peace, nostalgia and hope

Leipzig-based pianist Johannes Wasikowski is an up-and-coming figure in contemporary piano music, moving between jazz, classical and ambient pop. Inspired by greats such as Tigran Hamasyan and Nils Frahm, he brings fresh impetus to the solo piano genre with his technical brilliance and joy of playing.

His debut EP "Taumorgen" tells musical stories that hover between melancholy and light - pieces full of clarity, introverted treasures, landscapes to listen to

In 2023, Wasikowski went on tour with his program and delighted audiences with around 15 concerts. In 2024, his music took him abroad for the first time, with performances at World Piano Day in Warsaw and the Piano City Festival in Madrid. A collaboration with the Goethe-Institut brought him to Barcelona.

In cooperation with the dance company Tanzharz under Tarek Assam, Wasikowski experiments with new musical forms that interweave past and present
