On the third evening of the 36th Heidelberg Symposium, there's something for your ears - live:
YARA and Tropica will be bringing indie vibes and neo-psychedelic pop to the cozy Grün&Gold room. The music is not only worth listening to, but also absolutely danceable - melancholic, playful, catchy and rhythmic at the same time.
Admission is early and free for symposium participants - come along while there's still room! For all other music lovers, tickets are available at the Box Office for 5 euros
yara
Indie rock band from Mannheim and Heidelberg
They don't really want to know what yara are all about. Is it all-nighters, smoking, love or the longing for somehow all of the above? Sometimes as a hedonistic ballad of world-weariness or as a wild Dada interlude on stage. For singer Jakob, there is only the extreme, he likes to throw away the small happiness of everyday life. With Gio, Lisa and Jacque, he unpretentiously translates this search into German-language indie rock.
Tropica
Neo-psychedelic pop band from Cologne and Wuppertal
Tropica is a neo-psychedelic pop band from Cologne and Wuppertal. With a dreamy atmosphere, vintage sound and modern pop structures, the band has played numerous shows since 2018. Their first record On A Rainbow (2019) was released on Listen Records and was celebrated by Byte FM, among others. After the coronavirus break, Tropica made an impressive return in 2022 with the singles "You Can't Escape the Future", "Thunderous", "Baklava" and "Deva", showcasing their stylistic diversity. On June 21, 2024, they released their debut album Is This The Only Life I Know, recorded with Birk Buttchereyt at Funkhaus Studio Berlin. With the singles "No Explosions", "Purple" and "Oceanside", they once again underline their varied sound world.
