In the organizer's words:

The piece is the result of a four-week neo-African dance process that deals with the historical effects of a modern society shaped by colonial and imperialist systems and characterized by structures of oppression and dependency. It explores the ways in which a rebellious society pools its internal resources in order to free itself from external forces and influences and achieve sovereignty.

Inspired by the philosophies of Thomas Sankara and Ibrahim Traoré, Afro-somatic dance elements are a central component of the movement language and an important tool in the endeavor to deeply penetrate the working and dancing body.
