The St.Gallen musician Marc Frischknecht alias Yes I'm Very Tired Now presents

his new album "The Dark Tape". A dark pop album with new wave

electronic influences.

The music of Yes I'm Very Tired Now knows no standstill. "The Dark Tape" is a fascinating and impressive evolution of his melancholic sound, combining indie, dark pop and new wave in an elegant and unique way. It is a work full of crackling tension, from the gentle sounds of the opener "The Sea Side" to the fragile "Apologize" (with Natasha Waters, who accompanied Frischknecht as a singer on the first EP and most recently live) or the catchy "Monochrome" to the fast pulsating final track "No One".

Guitars meet synths, drums meet beats, spherical passages meet booming bass. Despite all the electronics, the music is organic, sometimes gently pulsating and sometimes intoxicating, multi-layered and with a love of detail. Everything is in its place here, not a note too much, not a note too little. Every song has an engaging urgency. And the emotions are not only palpable in Marc Frischknecht's vocals, they resonate in every note.
