With works by Johann Sebastian Bach, Franz Schubert and Ludwig van Beethoven

The poetic performances of Yoann Bourgeois hover somewhere between circus, theater and dance. His aim is to "disarm time", to overcome gravity and centrifugal forces - and to bring the forces that tug at people externally and internally into a fragile balance. He and his dance partner search for balance on spinning surfaces, swaying planes and stairs to nowhere. Pianist Olga Scheps finds musical counterparts to this on the piano: for example, in Franz Schubert's rambling expansiveness or Johann Sebastian Bach's unshakeable statics.
