The work of Berlin-based Yosa Peit is anything but catchy. And that's a good thing! As a kind of free-spirited universal genius, she is not only a successful producer, multi-instrumentalist and singer, but also the founder and artistic director of the award-winning Sound X Tech format "Error Music - don't delete!" for girls, trans, inter- and non-binary kids in Berlin.

Yosa Peit's free sound is reminiscent of the intense arrangements of a cyber-era Prince paired with the surrealistic tones of Arthur Russell and the vulnerability of Arca. Her debut album "Phyton", for example, was praised as "distorted lo-fi meets glitchy electronica" and a "jagged interdimensional pop hit".

At Musikbar Schleuse Zwei in Bilker Bunker, Yosa Peit will be playing songs from her album "Gut Buster", released in 2024 on Fire Records London/NY. You will hear sonic escapades from a swarm of heavily processed vocals, soulful bass and rhythmic structures. The record is full of mischievous curiosity and exudes a hint of lo-fi experimentation - but always surrounded by a smooth pop sheen. In terms of content, Yosa Peit deals with the destructive power of modern consumption. "Gut Buster" is an anti-capitalist statement that combines intimacy and hostility; a surrealist punk affirmation and a testament to the artist's unique vision.
