You&ME: Your own way
Theater
Duration: 55 minutes
What holds us back from really being ourselves? How much space do we give to the gaze of others - and how much to our own dreams? When friends suddenly become rivals, when our origins shape us and first love changes everything, the search for our own self begins. Perhaps the answer lies in choosing love again and again?
The production mixes acting, movement and performance. Breaks in style show the inner turmoil: between expectations and freedom, between fear and courage.
Do you have the courage to go your own way? We wish it for you!
This play is our play. Every scene, every character is ours. We wrote the texts ourselves - or they came about through our improvisations. We discussed, tried out, discarded and rethought together. Every dramaturgical decision was made as a team and we were supported in finding theatrical means.
We started with the question: How does it feel when your own path is disrupted? We found initial answers through movement theater - and developed a performative prelude from this.
Figures and scenes emerged from this prelude, reflecting our thoughts and experiences. During the rehearsals, we showed each other our drafts, shared ideas and wrote texts - also for each other. Some wrote diary entries for their characters, others wrote scenes for roles that were not their own.
The result was a play that we put on stage together. Our play.

What is the climate impact cost ticket?
In cooperation with the PATHOS theater, we would like to take responsibility for the climate impact costs of theater operations together with our audience and thus set an example for a fair pricing policy.
The €2 or €4 surcharge on the ticket price will go 100% to the Climate Fair project, which promotes social and ecological transformation in Germany and here in Munich (e.g. through the construction of solar systems, green roofs and energy-saving projects).
You can find detailed information on the Pathos homepage.
