The 52nd ZAC-Varieté, our summer program in the Waggonhalle, is once again packed with:
colorful fantasy, astounding illusions, powerful acrobatics, whirling juggling and emotional poetry.

Karl-Heinz Helmschrot is the host of our summer program. Successful transitions are often the key to the success of an event. Karl-Heinz devotes himself with great dedication to precisely these interfaces in order to give all participants an optimal launch pad for their performance through his moderation.
Early on, he had the idea of acquiring a wide range of skills in order to tell his stories as colorfully as possible on stage. Polished words should be accompanied by sensual impressions in order to have a lasting effect. He loves cabaret because it can make a big impression on the audience with minimal means. His joy in performing, his love of improvisation and his artistic and musical craftsmanship make his performances and thus every event a unique and lively experience.

Extraordinary acrobatics amaze the audience, subtle humor makes them smile. Two unequal bodies meet acrobatically, 42 cm separate them in height, 42 kg in weight. Chris and Iris show their hand-on-hand acrobatics in combination with physical theater in a sympathetic and inspiring way.
Their performances are based on movement research that explores the possibilities of the duo's size difference. Images are created that go as far as the absurd and almost make you believe in illusions. Acrobatics with great precision and lightness; humorous, poetic and original.

Jule Schuster seems to defy the laws of physics almost effortlessly as the artist performs unimaginable feats on a five-millimeter-thin, freely moving wire rope. The traditional art of tightrope walking is taken to the extreme here in a refreshingly modern way. With the help of elements from physical theater, dance and new circus, we experience an extraordinary form of (classic) slack-wire artistry.
In her second performance, Jule will present her imaginative aerial artistry powerfully and elegantly above the stage with apparent ease. Here she combines impressive dynamics, precise control, breathtaking spins and flowing movements that seem to defy gravity.

Simply elegant, thrillingly dynamic and excitingly fast. Claudius Specht presents a stylish juggling performance with the understatement of a gentleman. He juggles clubs, cups and the laws of physics. But he doesn't just juggle them, he literally makes them dance. They form incredible patterns and combinations in the air with precision and breathtaking speed. He juggles with his hands as well as his feet and surprises, seemingly without any effort, with light-footed pirouettes and somersaults - and all this
in an elegant suit and with a mischievous twinkle in his eye. The smart Swiss not only impresses with his technical perfection and enormous skill, but also with his dazzling charm and his sparkling joy of juggling. This began at the age of seven and led the winner of the renowned 'International Variety Award 2003' to numerous engagements in circus, variety and TV in Japan, the USA and across Europe. Another highlight: winner of the 'Golden Elephant' at the Nikulin Festival 2013 in Moscow. With him, we experience a firework display of sophisticated entertainment, an exclusive production of the highest art of juggling!

For a quarter of a century now, Juno has enjoyed inviting artists to the Marburg Waggonhalle time and time again. And he is delighted that he will be there again this August. He is preparing a completely new performance around an absolute classic of the art of magic.

Musicians who have long since become friends of ours, the Jazzrobots, set the musical accents in our show sensitively and masterfully, as they have done for years. Their playing is unobtrusive and they are a great addition to any show. Many audience members would not want to miss them and, to be honest, the theater staff and the artists even less. Only rarely are variety theatres in Germany in the fortunate position, as we are, of being able to enrich their programs with live music.

If you wish, you can also book the variety menu. It is served at 6 pm in the Rotkehlchen (Sundays after the show). If you do not want a menu, simply leave the number in the order process at "zero".
