Formed during the Orange County punk explosion, Southern California-based band Zebrahead is still active and now embarking on a new chapter in their long career. "As long as people keep coming to the shows and listening, we'll keep touring the world and releasing music," says bassist Ben Osmundson. With almost 700,000 monthly listeners on Spotify, it's safe to say the world is still listening!
Speaking of which, the band will be releasing a series of songs and videos leading up to a new EP titled I in November 2024, the follow-up to EPs III and II released in 2023.

In addition to Osmundson, Zebrahead includes singer/rapper Ali Tabatabaee, singer/guitarist Adrian Estrella, drummer Ed Udhus and guitarist Dan Palmer.
Zebrahead is truly a band of brothers who signed with Columbia Records early in their career, just out of high school. Since their inception, they have experienced ups and downs, sold more than two million albums to date, survived label changes, received a Grammy nomination for a collaboration with Motorhead and toured non-stop around the globe.
Taking matters into their own hands, they've taken a complete DIY approach for almost 10 years and love the freedom it gives them. "It's more fun when there's no boss," laughs Osmundson. He continues, "And quite honestly, that's the approach that's kept the band going. Because why do it if it's not fun?"

Their shows are getting bigger and the songs are getting heavier. The band loves to combine melodies and riffs and have really focused on moving in every direction in the music they feel and create over the last few years. The live show is what really sets Zebrahead apart, and this has earned them a loyal and enthusiastic fan base that continues to sell out venues around the world.
When asked about the new music, Tabatabaee says, "Get ready for a sonic explosion of adrenaline-fueled anthems and relentlessly catchy hooks that will have you moshing in the pit and creating unforgettable new memories with your closest friends."
Estrella adds, "These next new songs are the culmination of several years of collaboration and really understanding our writing process. In my opinion, it's a huge step forward and I can't wait for everyone to shout along with us!"

It all began with the release of the Yellow EP on indie label Dr. Dream in May 1998. Zebrahead signed with major label Columbia and released their debut album, Waste of Mind, later that year. Their second album, Playmate of the Year, received rave reviews in mid-2000, and the album's infectious title track was played on some of the world's biggest alternative radio stations. The Stupid Fat Americans EP was released exclusively in Japan a year later. 2003 then saw the release of the critically acclaimed MFZB, which contained the best reviewed alternative song for months, "Rescue Me", and was certified gold in Japan. The band spent the summer of 2006 on the Vans Warped Tour, and Broadcast to the World was released. The album went gold in Japan in just one month. In 2008, the band released "Phoenix" with a warning from Absolute Punk: "Listen with caution, because your face might melt off your head." 'Panty Raid' followed in 2009, 'Get Nice' in 2011 and 'Call Your Friends' in 2013.

Way More Beer, a live CD/DVD filmed in Cologne, was released in 2014 and captures the pure chaos and energy of the Zebrahead experience. A year later, the band celebrated their 20th anniversary with a re-recorded classic album entitled "Zebrahead - The Early Years - Revisited". In the same year, they also wrote and recorded "Out of Control" with their friends Man With A Mission, a joint EP between the two bands, the title track of which was used as the theme tune for the movie Mad Max: Fury Road. "Walk the Plank" followed later that year. In 2017, the band released The Bonus Brothers, an album consisting only of imported bonus tracks. "Brain Invaders" was released worldwide in 2019 via MFZB Records and the Avex Group in Japan.
With everything life threw at them, Zebrahead continued to tour and the band brought their explosive live show to festivals such as Reading/Leeds, Download, Southside, Rock Am Ring/Park, Summersonic, Punkspring, Fuji Rock, Groezrock, Pukkelpop, Slam Dunk, Sonisphere, Hurricane, Greenfield, Nova Rock, Area 4 and Highfield to name a few.

The future looks bright for the band and their worldwide family of fans and friends as they prepare to bring their distinctive, fun sound to the people once again with new music and lots of touring.
Palmer sums it up, "We plan to do two things with these new songs: kick ass and chew gum! And we're out of gum!"
