"Zeilen gegen das Unbehagen" - Lesung und Gespräch mit der Autorin Diana Dua

In the organizer's words:

It's such a feeling. Not a good one. A kind of discomfort. How can you describe it? Maybe not at all. But maybe you can. "Zeilen gegen das Unbehagen" is the attempt. The book invites you on an entertaining reading journey through microprose. A journey that is also an appeal against racism, discrimination and hermeneutic injustice. Hermeneutic injustice always arises when people and their individual experiences are not fully understood. Because it is difficult to convey something that a large part of the collective does not even feel or because prejudices block the path to understanding. With her lines against discomfort, Diana Dua wants to give herself and many others a voice to draw attention to experiences that lie outside of their own experience and yet still want to be heard. For an appreciative togetherness.

Diana Dua has the Palatinate in her heart, but has lived in Hamburg for a long time. Here she works as a freelance copywriter and sensitivity reader. She also campaigns for discrimination-sensitive language.

The event is free of charge. Donations are welcome.

The reading is taking place as part of the International Weeks against Racism. You can find more information on our website.
